Several students work with me in my research.
Julian Scott is a M.S. student in the Hydrologic Science program who is a
Teaching Assistant for the small watershed hydrology course. He is
also studying the surface water
resources and associated aquatic ecosystems of the Amu Darya and several
small lakes in the Khorezm region. Jeremy Rivord is a M.S.
student in the Hydrologic Science program who is modeling spills in the
Truckee River from Lake Tahoe to the Glendale intake. Katie Costigan is
a M.S. student in the Hydrologic Science program who is looking at land
conservation practices and their effects on hydrology. Nick Grant is a
M.S. student in the Hydrologic Science program who is studying the
feasibility of instrumenting wildlife guzzlers to enhance precipitation and
hydrologic data collection in Nevada. There
are also undergraduates who work in my lab: Bryan Little (Watershed Science), and Nalin Howard (Chemical Engineering).
I have one research associate, Lisa Atwell Holan, who works with me on a
number of different projects.

(B.S. Civil Engineering 2003); Peter Szameitat (B.S. Environmental and Resource Sciences (emphasis on Hydrology)

students), Margaret Shanafield (prospective Ph.D. Hydrologic Science
Student), and Yonas Gebeyehu (Ph.D. Hydrologic Science 2005) also worked in
my lab briefly.
