This workshop took place July 17-22, 2005.


Course Description - This course occurred in conjunction with a workshop involving faculty from different institutions and disciplines regarding developing a graduate course on interdisciplinary modeling for aquatic ecosystems. Students were introduced to models that are available in different disciplines and how such models might be applied together to address aquatic ecosystem issues, address issues of variability and uncertainty in implementing interdisciplinary approaches, and gain experience in working in interdisciplinary teams to apply interdisciplinary modeling approaches to increase knowledge about aquatic ecosystems.

ASSIGNMENTS:

    • Pre-workshop survey (all participants): Please complete this survey to assess your interest and knowledge of workshop content prior to participating in the workshop by July 18, 2005 at noon
    • Daily workshop evaluation form (all participants): Please complete evaluations of each of the lectures and exercises during the workshop
    • Post-workshop survey (all participants; will be enabled July 21, 2005): Please complete an evaluation of the workshop by August 5, 2005

Student Application (CLOSED) - Completion of the student application does not register you for the course. Students will be notified regarding selection by May 15, and those selected will be informed on how to register for this course.

Course Registration - This course will be offered through UNR College of Extended Studies. Registration will occur Sunday, July 17 from 2-2:45 p.m. ONLY.
