PLEASE READ BEFORE COMPLETING THE APPLICATION
Between November and February 1st of each year, to be considered for any institutional scholarship including departmental scholarships, continuing UNR students must complete the scholarship application in MyNEVADA: go to Student Center, Supplemental Forms, Scholarship Application.
To be eligible for consideration for scholarships which require financial need, by March 1 annually students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.ed.gov and include federal school code 002568; University of Nevada, Reno, Reno, NV. Students not eligible to complete the FAFSA (such as international students or students with DACA status), may complete the Financial Aid Calculation for Non-FAFSA Eligible Students form by March 1 annually.
If you are an incoming freshman or transfer student, you are required to apply for admission to the University (including submission of official transcripts and, for new first year students, official ACT or SAT test scores) prior to application for any departmental scholarship. To be considered for general scholarships such as the Pack Pride, Nevada Scholar, Silver & Blue or Presidential the complete application to the University of Nevada, Reno and required documents must be received by Admissions & Records by February 1. The last SAT/ACT test date which will meet this deadline is in early December.
APPLY FOR A CABNR SCHOLARSHIP
To apply for a CABNR scholarship for the 2014/2015 academic year, you must fill out the university general scholarship application and the application for CABNR supplemental linked above. CABNR scholarships are awarded on very specific donor requirements and evaluation of your application by the CABNR Scholarship Committee. Some scholarships are awarded based on GPA ranking or financial need.
Do not complete this application if you do not intend to be a University student for the upcoming year.
One specific requirement for many of the CABNR scholarships require that you are full-time (12 credits undergraduate, 9 graduate). Unless you tell us otherwise we will assume you will be enrolled in both Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters. You must also be a declared major in CABNR.
By applying for a CABNR scholarship you are agreeing to:
