Tree Crown Mortality Associated With Roads In The Lake Tahoe Basin

 

Loss of crown vigor and tree mortality results from a number of interacting causes, but dead trees along the roadside are especially obvious to visitors and residents alike. It is important to effectively monitor the components of tree crown mortality resulting from de-icing salt, and to use this information to adjust salt applications to reduce forest mortality where possible.  Read More...
