The Interactions Between Small Molecules And Light On Deserts |

This research is to help better understand photochemical transformation reactions (the interactions between small molecules and light ) of nitrite and perchlorate that occur on desert sand surfaces. This will better explain the elevated nitrate concentrations that are observed naturally in desert groundwater.

Silver and blue make green at new greenhouses
The new $6.2 million greenhouse complex off Valley Road, offers impressive accommodations for the college’s environmental research, each of the six greenhouses is 96 feet long and 30 feet wide. The buildings are anchored to a 12,000-square-foot headhouse.
