ACADEMIC & RESEARCH INTEREST

Since 1993, I have run the University of Nevada's Protein Core Facility. I perform protein sequencing, amino acid analysis, and peptide synthesis for customers both within and outside of the University system. My remaining time has been spent purifying various biological samples by HPLC and developing methods for improved analytical techniques. I am continuing these duties while now operating the 2-dimensional gel electrophoresis portion of the University's new Proteomics Facility. My principle research interest is optimization of sample preparation for proteomic analysis and improvement of 2-D gel techniques.
