Student Ambassadors are recognized for their outstanding service to both the university and the community. By joining the Student Ambassador Organization you can:

Activities

Since their beginning, the Ambassadors have represented the student body at university and community events. Some of the things you would do as an Ambassador are:

  • Provide campus tours to prospective students, their parents, and the general public
  • Represent the university at recruiting events and fall previews
  • Make presentations about the university at high schools
  • Sponsor community and campus outreach programs
  • Participate in team building and goal setting retreats
  • Attend bi-monthly meetings
  • Serve on an ambassador committee
  • Meet new people and make new friends

Selection Criteria

The selection process includes an application and an interview with current Ambassadors and advisors. Students selected to join this enthusiastic group should have:

  1. A minimum 2.5 GPA
  2. Enrolled in 12 credits from the University or Community College
  3. At least one academic year remaining to serve as an Ambassador
  4. Strong communication and leadership skills
  5. A positive personality and an enthusiasm for the university
  6. A sincere desire to represent the university
  7. Ability to work well with others
  8. Knowledge of the university and its programs
